Willis Academy
Willis Academy is a standalone platform for rater training, available to sites outside the context of a clinical study. Sites can create accounts on their own, onboard their staff, and give them access to our entire library of courses – the same ones that are used when certifying raters as part of clinical trials.
It’s free!
01
Access our course library
Willis Academy features a growing library of courses. These are the same courses used for training and certification in Willis eCOA. Topics range from scale-specific training, such as administering the MADRS, to broader practices like minimizing placebo response. Any course completed in Willis Academy automatically carries over to Willis eCOA, saving site staff time and effort.

02
Practice scoring real interviews
Users can test their scoring ability using a built-in library of real, de-identified clinical interviews. The system compares submitted scores to expert ratings to provide an immediate performance score. Users can track their progress over time, and sites can use these exercises to ensure scoring consistency across all their raters.

03
Practice clinical interviewing
Users can practice interviewing on our clinically validated, AI-powered virtual patients. This lets raters hone the natural flow of an interview, including asking questions, probing, and scoring. Each session provides a performance score and narrative feedback on interview style. The virtual patient generates a new persona and symptom profile every time, ensuring the exercise never gets repetitive.

Monitor performance
Willis Academy gives site leaders a clear view of staff development. You can monitor course completions, practice scores, and interview skills across your entire team. Beyond serving as an internal tool to maintain rater quality, you can export these metrics to demonstrate your site's readiness for CNS clinical trials directly to sponsors.
